Shelley lives in a 1960’s style 3 bedroom semi-detached house in the parish village of Brampton, Cambridgeshire.
Having recently had a baby, Shelley and her husband felt that their previous door didn’t provide them with the security that they needed and so they decided to update it.
“The old door was really old. If you wanted to break in you’d just need to push the glass! We’d been thinking about changing it for a while and the arrival of our new baby was really a catalyst, so we decided that the time was right.”
Shelley contacted a local firm, GAP Home Improvements, who after hearing that Shelley wanted to upgrade the security of her front door immediately recommended Residor GRP composite doors.
“When GAP informed us that Residor doors came with additional security features like a thicker skin, a top spec cylinder lock and a 10 year warranty, we were sold! I really liked the Turnberry door style because it would give us more privacy than our previous door but would still allow some light into the hallway.”
Residor have six classic colours available anthracite grey, white, black, blue, green and red. But if you’re a little more adventurous like Shelley there are also over 250 RAL colours to choose from.
“When it came to our door’s colour, I wanted something different to the norm and so GAP gave me one of the Residor colour palettes to take away with me. I was immediately drawn to the grey colours because I thought that grey would look great all year round. In the end I opted for RAL 7001 – Silver Grey, and I couldn’t be happier.
“Since our new Residor has been installed we’ve really noticed how much quieter the house is, which is a massive bonus with a new baby! And we really do feel more secure every time we lock the door, which is exactly what we wanted.”
“I absolutely love the colour too, we’ve already had so many compliments!”
“We’ve been really impressed by the whole process. GAP were brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble. We’d definitely recommend both GAP and Residor to anyone.”
